Blogistan

I am currently reading the book “Blogsitan” for my Media Etnography class.

It is basically the story of the blogosphere in Iran leading up to the 2009 elections, when the Internet played an important role in the demonstrations against Ahmadinejad. It is interesting how blogs can make such a difference by being profoundly personal.  Bringing something from the personal sphere to the public one is itself a political act. This is certainly the case for women’s blogs in Iran.

I’ll try to be more personal in this blog, perhaps next time.
