My experience of this city is mostly confined to Bobst Library. Now, I’ve had a little extra time to wander through it.
Yesterday’s agenda: eat an Israeli breakfast, walk an hour and a half from the East Village up to Midtown, grab some Indian food before seeing Herbie Hancock play some magical jazz at Columbus Circle. Sleep.
Today: woke up a bit sore and tired. Grab a cab–get stressed- and get just in time to Lincoln Center to hear Beethoven and Dvorak. The crowd consisted on gray haired couples about to die..I felt felt like the life of the party.
Now: Home sweet home, East Village. Downstair’s bar is booming music from Sublime. People meeting other people outside, talking.
Let´s tune to WQXR…
